Iratel Ventures Breakfast Series is as an open venue to discuss current topics in the tech startup ecosystem in Iran and beyond.

We welcome local and global entrepreneurs, investors and all active ecosystem players.

A big thank you goes out to all the participants who have attended our events in the past two years. We are in the process of changing the format of our breakfast series so stay tuned for our next event.

Prof. Keivan Navi

Keivan Navi received his undergraduate degree in Hardware Engineering from Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran, in 1987 and masters in Electrical Engineering (Hardware Engineering) Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1990. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer architecture from Paris XI University, Paris, France, in 1995.

Currently, Keivan is a full professor in faculty of computer science and engineering of Beheshti University. His research interests include Cryptography, VLSI Design, Computer Arithmetic, Multiple Valued Logic, Fuzzy Logic, Quantum Computing, and Emerging Technologies with special emphasis on Single Electron Transistor (SET), Carbon Nanotube Transistor and Quantum-dot Cellular Automata.

Dr. Alireza Zolfaghari

Dr Alireza Zolfaghari is CEO of Kilid.com, a smarter property search portal in Iran. He previously co-founded Cityorbit (a spin out of Imperial College providing the most accurate AVM for the UK residential sector) and successfully led the company from concept to funding and commercialisation. He has also advised and mentored other startups including Roomaid (a London-based start-up that aims to disrupt and modernise hotel guest services), CharterDirect (a London-based start-up that aims to automate and standardise the global shipbroking services industry) and eSafar.com (an online travel agent in Iran). In addition to his entrepreneurial journey, Alireza holds a PhD from Imperial College in urban systems modelling and has led several research projects related to smart cities and application of IoT in intelligent transport systems.
